----------------------------Original message---------------------------- There has been some recent discussion within the Publications Committee about revising the Salary Survey that was done in 1990 and issuing it on a regular basis. Some questions arose concerning this idea, and it was decided to bring the discussion to the ARLIS/NA membership. Was the format and information useful, or would another structure prove more valuable? Is the same information available within salary surveys done by other library organizations, or was the breakout of information unique to art librarianship/VR curatorship? If it were issued on a regular basis, how often should it be compiled -- every three years? two years? annually? What format would be most useful -- separate printed publication? Web document? within ART DOCUMENTATION? other? Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance for your ideas and recommendations!
