Max Marmor *** The Print Council of America seeks a bibliographer for a one-year appointment to bring the "Print Council Index to Oeuvre-Catalogues of Prints by European and American Artists" (New York, 1983) up to date in an electronic format. The Bibliographer will compile the data for all publications that have appeared since 1972, beginning with a search of existing on-line library catalogues. The bibliographer will compile additional information by consulting the oeuvre catalogues themselves. The project includes paid travel to New York Washington, D.C., Boston, Berlin, Paris, and London. $35,000 with benefits. Start date: January 1998 or sooner. Required qualifications: experience and training in bibliographic research and knowledge of on-line library cataloguing systems (RLIN, OCLC), experience with electronic databases, bibliographic knowledge of three or four languages (including French and German), familiarity with prints and print history.
