Paul Solanges is sending HHR a photo of himself and his wife, partly touched up with a = pencil, and refers to =22The last change =5B...=5D=22 above his head in the photograph=3B he = implies it is an insular (painting?)=3B insular has previously been used in the correspondence to refer to British literature. The four words =22The last change =5B...=5D=22 are underlined, and the last, = illegible word has four letters, starts with T, I or P=21 The final sentence refers to an offer by the reclusive HHR of a photograph = of a portrait of herself. The photograph of Solanges no longer exists. This is something of a tall order, but thanks for any help you can give.
