Re: Monkey/Skull...   There is a painter in Arkansas named Donald Roller
Wilson who does scenes of apes in modern dress & situations.  It is
possible that he may have painted a chimp contemplating a skull.  A few
catalogues of his work have been printed by museums and galleries --
nationally.  You might try looking at his work.
