----------------------------Original message---------------------------- A colleague of mine is trying to obtain biographical information on an artist who lived in the late 1700's--she believes he is English-- named Coppley Wilson (might be Copley Wilson). She has a painting of his of a scene in Bergamot, Switzerland from around 1790. I've tried all the usual biographical sources, the dictionary of art, etc. to no avail.
