The Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art is pleased to
announce that telnet access to WATSONLINE (the online catalog of the
Library) is now available. The telnet address is:

        library.met.org (or: 206.100.103.68)

It can also be accessed through The Metropolitan Museum of Art's website at
"www.metmuseum.org".

WATSONLINE provides access to approximately 70% of the Library's holdings of
monographs, periodicals, exhibition catalogs, microforms, and other
materials. All items cataloged since 1980 are included, as well as a large
portion of pre-1980 materials. The catalog is being enlarged through
continuous retrospective conversion projects.

The Thomas J. Watson Library is among the world's largest art history and
archaelogogy libraries, with holdings which reflect the encyclopedic scope
of the Museum's collections.
