----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Friends of Ryerson and Burnham Libraries announce the forthcoming publication of Gengis Chan: Private Eye, a livre d'artiste with poems by John Yau / color etchings by Ed Paschke Genghis Chan: Private Eye contains eighteen original etchings hand drawn by Ed Paschke and twenty poems by John Yau. The plates were printed under the direction of Jack Lemon at Landfall Press, Chicago on HMP paper made by John Koller, Woodstock, Connecticut, with a watermark by Ed Paschke. The text layouts and title vignettes, adapted from the artist's roughs and original drawings, were designed, hand-composed and printed by Pamela Barrie, Green Windows Printers, Chicago. Text type is 16-point Centaur and titles are set in Weiss initials. The box and chemise were made by Campell-Logan Bindery, Minneapolis. The regular edition consists of 150 copies, numbered 1/150 through 150/150, signed by Ed Paschke and John Yau. 125 copies are for sale. The deluxe edition of 25 copies, numbered I/XXV through XXV/XXV, also contains a complete set of etchings individually signed by Ed Paschke. 20 copies are for sale. The copper plates used in the making of the etchings have been canceled. The prepublication price of the regular edition is $2000; $2500 after publication. The prepublication price of the special edition is $4000; $5000 after publication.
