----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Diversity and Professional Development Committees are submitting a proposal to co-sponsor an Ask ARLIS session on mentorship. One speaker will address the organization of a mentorship program, and another, mentorship as a management issue (I think we have these two speakers lined up). We are still looking for a third speaker---someone who has been mentored. The literature shows that mentorship is an especially valuable means to increase the professional success of minorities or under-represented groups. Would anyone in the membership be willing and able to speak about this perspective from personal experience? Please contact me (soon) if you can help. Thanks.
