----------------------------Original message---------------------------- REFERENCE LIBRARIAN The Art Institute of Chicago seeks a Reference Librarian for the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries to provide reference services to staff, faculty, students and members in person, over the phone and by mail. Responsibilities include developing instructional tools and providing training sessions to encourage patron understanding and use of electronic resources, participating in the development and maintenance of the library web page and supervising the work of Reader Services volunteers. Position requires an ALA accredited MLS, strong communication skills, ability to work effectively with a diverse clientele, and facility with at least one foreign language. Graduate level work in art history or architectural history, familiarity with RLIN and INNOPAC is highly desirable. Salary $32,000 plus excellent benefits.
