Dear Colleagues -
For those who are interested here are the titles from our
refereed journals list which were gathered in 1993. They cover the major
areas of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning and
construction science as well as some computer technology to support our
program in visualization science. You will find some art related titles
although we have no art program. We also included health related titles
supporting a research emphasis in health care design and also some
psychology titles supporting our psychophysiology research center which
studies human well-being and the environment.
In order to perhaps separate all these areas out, I attached a subject
list after the title list, which uses the subject headings assigned to the
titles by Ulrichs or Ebsco and in some cases LC. There is some
duplication in the subject list (making it long) as some titles were given
multiple subject headings.
As I mentioned earlier, this list isn't current, and is far from
exhaustive. It includes only the titles from publishers who responded to
our request for information, and those titles that were considered refereed.
Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory had (and probably still does)
a list of refereed journals in one of its indexes volumes--but if I
remember right it's quite lengthy and the titles are listed alphabetically
not by subject.
The notebook we created with titles and publication submission guidelines has
been used quite a bit by our faculty and students over the years, and was
designed as a publication aid for faculty.. I hope this list may be of some
use.
