The 19th century Japanese artist Hokusai (the LC version of his
name is KATSUSHIKA, HOKUSAI, 1760-1849) did woodblock prints of everyday
life in Japan. Some prints are straightforward, some are humorous, esp.
in the collection known as the "Manga." Try looking for books about
Hokusai's drawings or sketchbooks (the "Manga" is also called "Sketches
from Life"), to bypass the more famous Hokusai collections about nature
scenes.
