----------------------------Original message----------------------------
I am an LIS student(exp. grad date 5/98) with a MA in Art History and
Archaeology from Columbia, which I completed in '92. Since obtaining the
degree I have been unable to find work related to art, but I would like to
work in art librarianship after I complete my MLIS. I would like to
relocate to the East Coast(I miss New York). I would like to know what
factors would improve my chances of finding an art library job, since it
appears there is a dearth of them. Currently I am working full-time as
librarian at a technical college. If I am unable to find an art-related
job, what could I do to improve my chances of getting one while I'm
working elsewhere? Any input would
be appreciated. Please send messages to my private email address. Thank
you.
