----------------------------Original message---------------------------- NY area libraries are invited to a meeting on Friday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m. This meeting, organized by the New York METRO ArtSIG, will provide our colleagues with the opportunity to raise questions and discuss concerns regarding new technologies. Joe Spadero, Assistant Director for Information Systems and Services, and a representative from NYSERNET will be speakers at the meeting. Some of the topics and concerns that the meeting will address include: The feasibility of full, fast internet access for all libraries. The possibility of METRO supplying a list of system support consultants for libraries that lack in-house support. METRO's and NYSERNET's future plans.
