Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Sherman Clarke, Bobst Library,
New York University, has accepted appointment as editor for
the proceedings of the 1997 ARLIS/NA annual conference.  The
proceedings will include descriptive reports for all business
meetings, panel sessions, AskARLIS and discussion group
sessions, the Membership Meeting, and the Convocation.  Based
on the prototype established by the "Proceedings of the 24th
Annual Conference," edited by Linda Zieper, for the 1996
Miami Beach conference, the proceedings for the upcoming 25th
anniversary conference in San Antonio, April 4-9, 1997, will
consist of reports by officially designated session and meeting
recorders.
Sherman Clarke will compile and edit all material and prepare
it for parallel publication on the ARLIS/NA web site
(www.uflib.ufl.edu/arlis) and in paper copy.  Paper copies of the
Miami Beach proceedings are available from Headquarters, and
copies of the San Antonio proceedings will, likewise, be sold
from HQ on a cost recovery basis.
