There has been a discussion on the VRA list regarding the tax exemption
possibilities at the New York hotels.  It seems the NY hotels do except
them from public universities and non-profit organizations.  It may be
that they, or hotels in other states, can only accept exemption
certificates from institutions from within the same state.
My question is:  would the San Antonio conference planners please check
with the conference hotel to see if they can accept such exemptions and
post a response on ARLIS-L?  Thanks
