I am a graduate student at Indiana University doing research on theft and
mutilation of books and periodicals in art libraries. In particular, I
am interested in some information on the series of mutilations which
libraries were experiencing when the Absolut Vodka ads became popular and
people starting removing them from the magazines in the libraries. I
know there was some discussion on this list about that. I have searched
the ARLIS-archives from April - December 1996 and located one mention of
it in May. I have a feeling more discussion took place earlier than
April 1996. Did anyone, by chance, keep a file with these discussions? I
would thoroughly appreciate any information in this regard.

Thanks.
