----------------------------Original message---------------------------- You are invited to the Brooklyn Museum of Art to see "A Different Reality: Symbolist Prints from the Collection on view until May 11, 1997. This exhibit of more than 80 works on paper and 14 books and periodicals created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by many of the artists active in the symbolist movement. Included in the exhibition is a facsimile copy of Gauguin's "Noa Noa", Bonnard's "La Lithographie Originale en Couleurs" as well as the "Yellow Book", "Pan", "L'Estampe et L'Affiche" and "la revue blanche" from the Museum Library collection. The exhibition is one in a series that celebrate the centennial of the Museum and the 175th anniversary of the founding of the collections as the Brooklyn Apprentices' Library Association. To mark the centennial celebrations the Museum has also changed its name from The Brooklyn Museum to Brooklyn Museum of Art. Deirdre E.
