AAM 92nd Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo97 will be held in Atlanta, Ga. from
April 26-30, 1997.  The theme is "Competing in the Arena: content,

There are two sessions targeted to librarians/archivists.  Both are held on
April 28.

"Museum Information: Knowing and Finding the Best Resources" sponsored by
the Ad Hoc Committee on Museum Archives and Libraries; chair, Valerie J.
Wheat, Librarian, Museum Reference Center, Smithsonian Institution,
Washington, D.C.

and

"Adding Value to the Collections: What Museums Can Learn from Libraries"
sponsored by the same committee and co-sponsored by AAM Media and Technology
Committee, chair: Selma Thomas, President, Watertown Productions, Inc.,
Washington, D.C.

There are also three sessions on the IMLS (Institute of Museum Library
Services--a grant funding agency.)  All sponsored by the AAM Development and
Membership Committee.
