There will be a joint meeting of VRA and ARLIS at the VRA conference in
NYC on Saturday, February 15, 1997 from 9-11am

Roundtable VI - Collection Development:  What's the Policy?

Moderator:  Martha Mahard, Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University

A panel of collection development librarians and visual resources
professionals will discuss and debate the need for written policies -- how
they evolve, if they are effective, and what happens when funds are
scarce.  Types of collections to be represented:  the art history slide
library, the non-art history/non-print collection, the museum library, the
university library, and the special (government or other) library.

this will be accessible to all CAA badge holders, and it will be ehld in
the Sheraton Hotel near the Hilton Hotel and Towers (the CAA conference
hotel), in a meeting room called Liberty 5.

There are a few other sessions which would probably be of use to ARLIS
members, and the VRA web page has complete listing of the program.
