----------------------------Original message---------------------------- There is a piece in The Art Newspaper for January 1997, p.29, about a fascinating-sounding CD-ROM game based on Versailles in 1685, which leads you through the Palace, viewing over 200 paintings, and listening to appropriate music. "The game places you in attendance on the Roi Soleil on a typical day...you soon stumble upon evidence of a plot to overthrow the king which it is your task to uncover." The CD-ROm is distributed by Cyro Interactive Entertainment in Paris. The article gives a web address, but I have been unsuccessful reaching it at http://www.cyro-interactive.fr. Has anyone had better luck? <^><^> <+><+> <-><-> -- -- -- Mary Williamson, Fine Arts Bibliographer and Senior Librarian, York University (retired); Adjunct Faculty, Graduate Dept. of Art History. email: [log in to unmask] *** fax: (416) 484-0345
