----------------------------Original message---------------------------- I have a patron looking for color reproductions (sketches or photographs) of Raymond Loewy's design for the Pittsburgh street car #1095 executed for the Cleveland lines in late 1938. The design was a two-tone green-and-gray paint scheme which was later applied to several 4000-series Peter Witt cars. We have found a black and white photograph of the Pittsburgh car lent from the R.H.Brown Collection and reproduced in the book "PCC from Coast to Coast." If we cannot find a color image of the street car design, we would be interested to know where Raymond Loewy archives are housed (or are they scattered?) and/or information on R.H.Brown. Thank you in advance for any information you can send along, please respond off-list. Greta Earnest Art and Architecture Librarian [log in to unmask]
