----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Announcing the ARLIS/NA Membership in LOEX An institutional membership in the LOEX Clearinghouse for Library Instruction has been established for ARLIS/NA and will begin in January 1997. ARLIS members may submit materials used in library instruction to LOEX and may also borrow any materials submitted by ARLIS members. The only restriction is that ARLIS members may not borrow non-ARLIS materials. If you are interested in borrowing other materials, you or your institution should become members of LOEX. For more information on establishing an institutional membership, contact LOEX at LOEX Clearinghouse for Library Instruction, University Library, Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI 48197, (313) 487-0168-phone, (313) 487-8861-FAX, or [log in to unmask] All members of ARLIS/NA are encouraged to submit materials to LOEX. LOEX collects materials on all aspects of instruction and in all formats. This includes print materials such as one page point-of-use handouts, bibliographies and subject guides, pathfinders, materials for workshops, course syllabi, workbooks, exercises, tests, evaluation forms, instructional videos, and software, slide-tape presentations, NOTIS materials, instruction for other online catalogs, instruction for various CD-ROM products, and just about anything that has an instructional use in a library. When submitting materials please remember to indicate you are a member of ARLIS/NA; LOEX will keep ARLIS materials separate from the rest of their collection. Materials should be sent to the address above. You may request ARLIS materials by mail, phone, fax, or on the Internet at the numbers above.
