----------------------------Original message---------------------------- I would think that the Rochester Institute of Technology might have been among the first ones. They instituted a Photographic Technology degree in the 30's I believe, as a direct result of the school's close association (at the time) with the Eastman Kodak company. They started granting BS degrees in Photographic Technology and BFA's in Professional Photography in the mid to late 50's ... I think. However, I may be wrong. I can try finding out the correct date if you are interested in following up on this lead.
