Two New Work Items have been proposed:
The International Confederation of Societies of Authors
and Composers (CISAC - a European rights management group)
have proposed two standards for consideration/adoption in TC
46 Subcommittee 9:
The ISAN - International Standard Audiovisual Number
A 16-digit numeric code to identify audiovisual works
defined as: any work consisting of an animated
series of images, whether or not it is accompanied
by sound.
The ISWC - International Standard Work Code
Intended to identify any musical work, the ISWC
would identify the underlying composition.
The deadline for reply on these two proposals is:
December 4, 1996.
