The Introduction notes that the indicators included in the standard are in widespread use or well-documented in the literature. Indicators for information services, user training, and electronic services are not included. Deadline for reply is: January 31, 1997 Two New Work Items have been proposed: The International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC - a European rights management group) have proposed two standards for consideration/adoption in TC 46 Subcommittee 9: The ISAN - International Standard Audiovisual Number A 16-digit numeric code to identify audiovisual works defined as: any work consisting of an animated series of images, whether or not it is accompanied by sound. The ISWC - International Standard Work Code Intended to identify any musical work, the ISWC would identify the underlying composition.
