The Japan Association for Cultural Exchange (ACE Japan) would
like to announce a new library in Tokyo, Japan
ART CATALOG LIBRARY, JAPAN:
A Special Library on Art Catalog
ART CATALOG LIBRARY, JAPAN specializes in the collection of art catalogs.
Its collection includes art catalogs of exhibitions held
in museums, galleries, department stores in Japan. It also collects
catalogs of Japanese art exhibitions held overseas museums, and collection
catalogs of museums in Japan.
Catalogs, books and other reference tools are displayed on open shelves.
Books and catalogs are classified under the Nippon
Decimal Classification (NDC) system. Computer terminals are
available for access to the collection. Also the Library offers an
extensive reference services regarding materials and information
on exhibitions in Japan.
LIBRARY HOURS:
OPEN: 13:00-18:00 Tuesdays, Thursdays, the 1st and 3rd
Saturdays of the month.
CLOSED: Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, all other Saturdays,
National Holidays and New Year Holidays.
WHO MAY USE THE LIBRARY:
Age18 years old and over, researching and interested in art.
CIRCULATION:
Materials may only be used in the Library (no check-out service
is available).
PHOTOCOPY SERVICE:
Withing the limits allowed by the Japanese copyright laws,
a photocopying service (including color copies) is available.
It costs 10 yen per page; color, 300 yen per page.
In the interest of preservation, some materials may not be
copied.
SERVICE TO RELATED ORGANIZATIONS:
The Library offers loan and photocopying services to related
organizations.
