----------------------------Original message----------------------------

I have received more requests to forward information on the Allison Research
Index of the Arts than I have received information about the database---so
if anyone has anything to contribute, please respond to the list. Since the
index gives details of research projects more than bibliographic
information, I'm wondering if its primary use is as a reference to contact
researchers for access to unpublished material, or simply to guide
researchers away from starting projects that someone else is working on. If
anyone knows of other uses, I'd appreciate knowing.

articles.

Does anyone experienced with the Allison Research Index of Art and Design
(either UK or Australia) have observations on its usefulness? Does its
coverage and scope complement that of BHA and Artbibliographies Modern?
