Having just posted my message pontificating about the impermanence of Web documents, I took another look at the original query and realized that I was merely repeating her point ... which is no help with the problem of how to catalog the printout. I guess one could put this down to another "medium problem" -- e-mail is too often skimmed, rather than read carefully, and it's much too easy to hit the "reply" button before one has made sure that one has properly understood the original message.
