The ARLIS/Texas Chapter annual meeting will take place Thursday October 3
through Saturday October 5 in San Antonio at the San Antonio Public
Library.  The main focus of this meeting will be to prepare for the
ARLIS/NA 1997 Annual Conference.  Registration is $10.00 and lunch on
Friday will cost $10.00 ($9.00 for vegetarian).

Thursday, October 3rd

8:00 AM - 2:00 PM   Self-guided tours of downtown San Antonio
2:30 - 4:30 PM   Registration at the San Antonio Public Library Auditorium
4:30 - 5:30 PM   Reception on the balcony of the San Antonio Public
                 Library, site of the ARLIS/NA convocation reception.
5:30 PM - ???   Dinner on your own to try different restaurants for
                conference evaluation

Friday, October 4th

7:30 - 9:00 AM   VRA/Lone Star chapter business meeting in the restaurant
                 of the Saint Anthony Hotel
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM   Workshop: "Targeting the Web: Finding Information and
                     Making Information Findable" San Antonio Public
                     Library Computer Lab. Sam Duncan, Amon Carter Museum
                     and Laura Schwartz, University of Texas at Austin,
                     instructors
12:00 - 1:00 PM   Lunch in the San Antonio Public Library auditorium
1:00 - 2:30 PM   ARLIS/Texas chapter business meeting
2:30 - 4:45 PM   Meetings to discuss plans for ARLIS/NA conference
7:00 - ???   ARLIS/Texas Chapter Dinner

Saturday, October 5th

9:30 AM - 12:00 PM   Architectural slide presentation and tour by Carolyn
                     Peterson of the firm Ford, Powell and Carson
12:00 - 1:30 PM   lunch on your own
2:00 - 4:00 PM   meeting of ARLIS/NA conference planning chairs (and
                 anyone else who wants to participate), The McNay Museum
