Eileen:  I was merely trying to point out that the apparent
analogy in the original statement was erroneous and weakened
the argument.  The information that libraries put on their
local networks (OPACs) describing (cataloging) books is not
analogous to the image of a slide on a network.  In fact, the
descriptive information prepared by libraries, including I
assume slide libraries, is owned by the library.  What is being
described - book or image - is another issue.
