----------------------------Original message---------------------------- At the last meeting of the digital images section of CONFU on July 16th, considerable changes have been made to the document which has been seen by many of the Society's members on the CAA website. I think that the majority of the Society will find it much improved. The structure of the document has changed and more clearly addresses the issue of fair use for educators, image curators, and students. It will spell out what they can do under fair use and what is not permissible. The preamble has been shortened and language made more understandable. I hope that the new version of the document will be more acceptable than previous drafts. Gregg Most National Gallery of Art
