----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Employment Opportunity: Slide Librarian, Scripps College, Claremont, California Regular, twelve month, part-time (16 hours/week), non-benefits based position. Minimum starting salary: $9.67/hour. Essential duties: With limited supervision, maintain Scripps College's fine art slide library. Duties include using in-house computerized equipment to edit the current collection which consists of over 100,000 slides and preparing additional slides through copystand photography; oversee general office operations; assist students and faculty in the use of the library; recruit, train and supervise student workers. This position is supervised by the Chair of the Art Department. Qualifications: Broad general knowledge of art history; knowledge of and experience with computerized cataloging procedures. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the Visual Resource Management System, or other slide collection databases. The position is available July 1, 1996.
