Museum Library Cataloger

The Philadelphia Museum of Art seeks experienced candidates for the position
of Museum Library Cataloger.  This position will be responsible for the
cataloging and classification of library materials, maintenance of the card
catalog and associated name and subject authority lists, and the supervision
of technical services volunteers.

Requirements: An ALA-accredited Master of Library Science, at least three
years of cataloging experience in a museum or university environment,
experience with card catalogs and retrospective conversion projects, working
knowledge of RLIN or OCLC, reading ability in at least one of the following
languages: French, German, Italian or Spanish, working knowledge of AACR2, LC
Subject headings and classification, and MARC format.

Desired qualifications: BA or MA in art history or a related field, prior
RLIN cataloging experience.

Salary is competitive based on prior experience and training.
