----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The Metropolitan Museum of Art seeks a librarian do perform cataloging and reference in the Robert Lehman Collection Library and the Library of the Department of Drawings and Prints. Responsibilities: 1. Catalog and classify Robert Lehman Collection departmental library using RLIN and Watsonline, the online catalog of the Watson Library. This position will add the holdings of the Robert Lehman Collection to the Watsonline database. 2. Update and maintain the library catalogs of the Department of Drawings and Prints and the Robert Lehman Collection. 3. Coordinate circulation, preservation and maintenance of the library collections. 4. Assist Museum staff and other researchers in the use of the libraries. 5. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Library Science required. M.A. in art history desirable. Library experience, including familiarity with RLIN and online systems essential. Ability to deal effectively with scholars and other researchers. Reading knowledge of Italian, German or French desirable.
