The business meeting for NART will be:
        Sunday April 29, 1996 (1:30-3:00pm) Tentatively set for the Regency
        Conference Room

   I.  Call to order

  II.  Appoint recorder

 III.  Comments on Strategic Plan [see the March 1996 issue of Update for
copy         of text]
        A.  Comments on/for Headquarters

  IV.  Topics for discussion
        A.  Proposals for San Antonio
            The deadline for San Antonio Conference Program Proposals will
be               May 31, 1996.  Please come prepared to discuss if we want
to submit             a program for the conference and ideas for topics.
        B.  Statement of Purpose:
            NART was formed in 1989.  The following is the current statement
of             purpose:
                "The New Art Round Table will focus on issues related to
                new art.  The primary objective of NART is to promote current
                awareness of new trends and developments in contemporary
                art and examine related library issues created by changes
                in the field.  Another objective of NART is to bring together
                ARLIS members who are both librarians and contributors to
                current art activities as artists, writers, curators,etc."

            In lights of the "changes in the field," do we need to considers
               redefining NART's purpose, activities?

        C.  Members concerns

        D.  Submission(s) to Update

        E.  Other:  A list of other topics for discussion for the bussiness
               meeting will be presented on the final agenda to be handed
out at             the meeting
