----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The University of Louisville has a bronze cast of Rodin's Thinker. It was presented to the city in 1944 by Arthur Hopkins and installed at U of L in 1949. It was purchased from the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore.It had been in the possession of Henry Walters since 1904 when he acquired it at the St. Louis World's fair. The Louisville bronze is the only lost-wax cast of The Thinker. All others were done in the sand-mold method. If Bruce White needs more information, he can contact me. Gail R.
