----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Can anyone help me answer a reference inquiry -- I've been asked to locate a place, called (in a French source) "Djambazde" and identified as a site "en Anatolie" with an early Christian or Byzantine basilica. Can anyone tell me (or point me towards a source that could tell me) where this place is and what it is called in Turkish? Neither the spelling nor the form of the name seem Turkish to me, but place names can be odd corruptions of older forms. Many thanks.
