The ARLIS/NA Editorial Board invites applications for the position of Open Access Coordinator. The term of appointment is one year and is renewable. This position receives an annual honorarium.

Open Access Coordinator

The open access coordinator is responsible for working with the executive and editorial boards to develop near- and long-term strategies for expanding society participation in open access (OA) initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:

• Coordinate ARLIS/NA publication and distribution activities consonant with the society’s commitment to OA principles
• Advise ARLIS/NA groups on current developments in open access and open licensing  and reports on society OA initiatives to the membership
• Participate in discussions with affiliate organizations and third-party service providers on matters relating to OA opportunities.
• Provide guidance in selecting open licenses including the creation of policies around licensing and permissions for ARLIS/NA generated content and submissions to CORE
• Manage the Public Appearance Consent form
• In collaboration with the ARLIS/NA Commons Manager, develop workflows for adding ARLIS/NA publications to the ARLIS/NA Commons and CORE, the Commons repository
• Serve on the Content Advisory Board
