Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce that my successor at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York began work today, and the two of us are working to ensure a smooth transition.

Leo earned a master’s in library science at Pratt Institute and a bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University. Recently, Leo held the role of archivist and studio assistant to the transmedia playwright and artist known for language and performance works, Kat Mustatea.  Prior to this appointment, Leo was archiving, appraising, processing, and encoding special collections at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Gladstone Gallery. In addition to his many talents, Leo is an author, artisan fashion designer and is responsible for creating a public GoogleMaps layer charting LGBTQ resources in the Metropolitan New York area.

My last day at Sotheby’s will be Thursday February 29. I will post my new contact information at the New York Society Library once I have it in early March. I am also pleased to announce that I was elected to the Board of Directors of CAA at the conference in Chicago last week.

With best regards,

Eric
