The ARLIS/NA Documentation Committee is pleased to announce the publication of two new oral histories on the ARLIS/NA Commons.  

Jon Evans interviewed Distinguished Service Award winner Debbie Kempe (2020) on April 21, 2023.  Debbie, who served as ARLIS/NA president in 2012, describes her leadership within ARLIS/NA, influential colleagues and mentors, and her involvement in the ARLIS/NA International Relations Committee. ARLIS/NA Oral History for Distinguished Service Award Winner, Marilyn Russell
Liv Valmestad interviewed Distinguished Service Award winner Marilyn Russell (2022), on June 28, 2023. Marilyn, who served as ARLIS/NA president in 2010, describes her experience working and earning her graduate degrees, a successful career as a visual artist and librarian, and how her enrollment as a member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe at the Leech Lake Indian Reservation informed her work with indigenous students throughout her career.  You can access the full transcript here - https://doi.org/10.17613/y6e0-bh13
