Paper proposals for the New Voices in the Profession session at the ARLIS/NA 52nd Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (April 2-5) are now being accepted!

New Voices in the Profession provides professionals new to art librarianship or visual resources the opportunity to present topics from exceptional coursework, master's theses, or early career projects. New professionals are defined as students in MLIS or master's programs leading to a career in art librarianship or visual resources, or those within five years of master's level study.

Papers should relate strongly to art and/or visual resources librarianship. Relevant topics could include digital library projects, archives, library instruction, reference, technical services, and more. Projects contributing to ongoing discussions about diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and/or anti-racism in libraries will be given special consideration, as will papers that relate to the conference theme of “POP!” and/or highlight art in Pittsburgh.

To see papers presented in past sessions, please view conference proceedings from previous years on the ARLIS/NA website (https://www.arlisna.org/news/conferences). Papers will be selected by representatives from ArLiSNAP and the ARLIS/NA Professional Development Committee.
