Hi Laura,

I would suggest using the American Institute for Conservation’s “Find a Professional” service, accessed from a button on the organization’s landing page https://www.culturalheritage.org/. This will take you to pages that provide information on selecting a conservation professional, identifying the area of specialization, and will offer access to a database of vetted conservation professionals (including book conservators).

You could also check out the HF Group’s ECS Conservation Division https://hfgroup.com/ecs-conservation/rare-books/ (located in Greensborough, North Carolina) to see if their services would be a good fit for your needs.

Feel free to contact me directly if I can be of further assistance.

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Rare book rebinding

Hi all!

I'm seeking to have some rare materials rebound, preferably by someone in the Southeast. Does anyone have recommendations? Many thanks in advance!

All the best,
Laura
