Deadline for applications is Tuesday, May 16. ******************************************************************************************************* The ARLIS/NA Editorial Board invites applications for the position of ARLIS/NA Multimedia & Technology Reviews <https://www.arlisna.org/multimedia-and-technology-reviews> Co-Editor. Deadline to apply is May 16, 2023. The editorial board seeks candidates with diverse perspectives, editorial experience, and knowledge of and interest in art publications, research technologies, and related forms of multimedia resources. The positions offer excellent opportunities to contribute to the field, become more engaged with society colleagues, and play vital roles in advancing the society's development of the ARLIS/NA Commons <https://arlisna.hcommons.org/>. Editors are appointed by the Editorial Director, with guidance from the ARLIS/NA Vice President-President-elect as needed, based on results of an Editorial Board search and recommendation of the publication’s co-editors. The term of appointment is one year and is renewable. Each editorial position receives an annual honorarium. ARLIS/NA Multimedia & Technology Reviews Co-Editor This position shares responsibility with two other co-editors for all content posted to the online publication ARLIS/NA Multimedia & Technology Reviews. Major responsibilities: - Research topics to review - In coordination with fellow co-editors, curate a selection of resources to review for each issue - Recruit and coordinate the work of volunteer reviewers - Edit content following guidelines in the current edition of the Chicago Manual of Style - Obtain publication agreements from reviewers for receipt by ARLIS/NA Headquarters. - Format each issue for publication and deposit in the ARLIS/NA Commons - Work closely with publishers and reviewers to determine article content - Work closely with fellow co-editors on planning editorial strategy for current and upcoming issues - Work closely with the ARLIS/NA Commons manager for structure, content, etc. - Promote new issues via ARLIS-L and other society communications channels.
