Sharing the sad news that Phil Rees, former Head of the Sloane Art Library at UNC Chapel Hill, passed away on May 1. Here is a link to the obituary, as well as a longer one (attached) from his son.

While I didn’t know Phil well, it was very special to connect with him and compare notes when I stepped into this role. He was active in ARLIS/NA since the early years and served on the Executive Board in the early ‘90s.
