I’m delighted to announce the location and dates of ARLIS/NA’s 52nd annual conference. Join us in Pittsburgh, PA from April 1 - 6, 2024! In addition to great art--The Andy Warhol Museum! Carnegie Museum of Art! Mattress Factory!--Pittsburgh is surrounded by natural beauty with rolling hills, ample waterfront, and the architectural treasure of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. Its roots are firmly planted in industrialism, but Pittsburgh today is a leader in education and sustainability. I’m withholding information on the conference hotel and theme for the big reveal at our annual membership meeting in CDMX. For those of you who won’t be able to join us, we will share that information and more later in the spring. The 2024 conference will mark ARLIS/NA’s first return to Pittsburgh in nearly 25 years. To welcome us back, we’re pleased to share that Jill Chisnell and Lynn Kawaratani will serve as Local Arrangements co-chairs, while Courtney Hunt and Michele Jennings are our Program co-chairs. Please join me in congratulating and thanking them for taking on these essential roles. This conference also wouldn’t be possible without the work of Meg Milewski and the entire Ohio Valley Chapter, who so quickly and enthusiastically developed the concept and kicked off the planning for 2024. Having learned some lessons from Mexico City conference planning, the Pittsburgh conference is poised to further the idea of including ARLIS/NA members from all over in conference planning. I look forward to seeing many of you next April in Pittsburgh!
