Dear Colleagues,

 

The IFLA Art Libraries Section and the Rijksmuseum Research Library are pleased to announce that the IFLA Art Libraries Satellite Conference 2023 will be held on Thursday, August 17 – Saturday, August 19, 2023 in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This is prior to the 88th IFLA General Conference and Assembly (WLIC) in Rotterdam, 21-25 August 2023.

 

We will be actively participating with the Art Libraries Society/Netherlands (OKBN*ARLIS/NL) and the Art Libraries Society/Flanders (OKBV*ARLIS/Flanders) to organize a welcoming and interesting meeting which will inspire and strengthen our communities, locally and abroad.

 

Programme

We are planning a two-day conference with afterwards a day of exclusive art library visits in The Netherlands and Belgium.

 

Theme

The theme of the conference is Big Ideas, Challenging Questions. The goal is to discuss the future of art and visual information and data projects and to talk about the opportunities of the art library in relation to digital scholarly or artistic practices.

 

Call for Papers

The call for papers will be sent out in the week of the 20th of March 2023.
