Dear Colleagues,

The Resource Sharing Special Interest Group (former Interlibrary Loan SIG) has been in hibernation mode for a while so I wanted to take this opportunity to announce that it is back! I will be serving as coordinator at least until we can have a formal nomination process at the annual business meeting. The ARLIS/NA Resource Sharing Special Interest Group (RSSIG) provides a space for art librarianship within the context of interlibrary lending, document delivery, collective collections and other aspects of resource sharing. It recognizes the unique characteristics of art resources and services as well as the research needs of its users.

Please join our new ARLIS Humanities Commons group<https://arlisna.hcommons.org/groups/resource-sharing-sig-30941727/>. You will need to log into ARLIS/NA Commons using the same email address you use for your ARLIS/NA membership. If you already have an account on any Humanities Commons site, you can contact [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, and ask that your existing HC account be linked to the ARLIS/NA Commons.

Business meetings will be held virtually this year following the 51st Annual Conference in Mexico City. The RSSIG meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 28, 2023 1:00pm - 2:00pm CDT.
It has been added to https://arlisna51stconference.sched.com/ as of today so you can add it to your official schedule.

You can contribute ideas for topics via the ARLIS Humanities Commons group<https://arlisna.hcommons.org/groups/resource-sharing-sig-30941727/> or send me an email at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> . My initial thoughts are to devote the hour-long meeting to non-traditional resource sharing, featuring digital projects, regional repositories, innovative digital lending practices, shared print initiatives etc. that can help art libraries from the US, Canada, and Mexico (and beyond!) share resources without shipping physical items across borders. New members/voices are encouraged, especially our colleagues at libraries in Mexico. How can we foster mutually beneficial relationships?

Looking forward to seeing you in Mexico City and/or virtually on April 28th.

Best Regards,

Aimee Lind
