How serendipitous! I am about to do a class about writing and researching artist statements. I would love to hear what others use. Here are some resources I usually recommend to students:

 

• Artist Statements-Getting Your Sh*t Together: This site has guidelines that will help walk you through writing your artist statement. It also provides examples of artist statements.
• Guide: How to Write an Artist Statement: This guide includes a step-by-step walk through of writing an artist statement. It also has ideas to get you started brainstorming.
