Dear Colleague, I retired about twenty years ago from my position as Founding Publisher of Hudson Hills Press. Prior to my tenure there, I was Editor-in-Chief and President of Abrams and a Senior Vice-President at Random House/Knopf. During my career I attended, exhibited, and occasionally was a guest speaker at many of ARLIS/NA’s annual conferences. My wife and I still own a substantial collection of the art books I published through a forty-year career (some in multiple copies) as well as many others I purchased in my travels around the world to museums, book fairs, etc. A few of the books are limited editions signed by the artist and/or author. As we now think that we will eventually need to relocate to a smaller, easier-to-manage home, we would like to give away as much of our private library as we can. We would welcome any member of ARLIS/NA or other bona fide librarian who wishes to visit our home in Dobbs Ferry (Westchester County, NY), fully vaccinated and masked, to go through our library and take away (or arrange to have picked up or shipped) whatever books he/she/they choose.
