ALA Core's New Member's Interest Group (CNMIG) is looking for new members and co-chairs to serve a one-year term from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

CNMIG focuses on the concerns and interests of new Core members and new library and information professionals. The group develops interest group meetings at ALA conferences, plugs new members into the larger Core division, engages members through social media platforms with relevant information and virtual professional development and educational events, and communicates with Core the wants and concerns of the new membership.

We are looking for both general member and co-chair volunteers. Co-Chairs are responsible for facilitating meetings and directing activities to meet the deliverables set out in the interest group's description.

ALA Core membership is required for co-chairs, not for general members. Physical attendance at ALA conferences or events is not required, all activities can be done virtually!
