Dear Colleagues, I’m delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to the ARLIS/NA Editorial Board for 2022-2023. The appointments were approved by the executive board at its April 8 post-conference meeting in Chicago and are effective May 1, 2022. Molly Schoen succeeds Eileen Markson as copy editor for Art Documentation. In this newly expanded role, Molly will work closely with editor Judy Dyki in preparing the society’s semi-annual journal as well as with individual authors from ARLIS/NA constituent groups to produce a wide variety of print and online publications. Molly is visual resources curator at the Fashion Institute of Technology as well as visiting assistant professor at Pratt Institute. She is currently the editor of Art History Insider at FIT and the author of several book chapters and articles on copyright, visual resources, and visual literacy. Molly has broad experience with editing and proofreading scholarly publications as well as securing image permissions, and she is a frequent session presenter at ARLIS/NA conferences. Virginia Kerr joins the Multimedia & Technology Reviews team as co-editor, following Gabriella Karl-Johnson’s seven years of exemplary service in that capacity. Virginia is a long-standing member of ARLIS/NA, the Visual Resources Association, and the Society of Architectural Historians. From 2007 until her retirement in 2020, she served as digital program manager and head of communications and development for the Center for Research Libraries. She has extensive experience managing library digital conversion and book digitization projects, providing specialized reference service, and in subject indexing for art and architecture image collections and periodicals, including service as editorial assistant for the Art and Architecture Thesaurus. Virginia has published articles and given presentations on a wide range of library and visual resource technologies and has contributed to the Grove Dictionary of Art Online (Oxford University Press).
